The nice thing about being up so late at night, is being able to go out on my porch, and gaze up at the heavens.
For the last two nights, i have been able to clearly see both the big dipper and the little dipper. God's majestic handiwork, there for all to see.
As the song by Steven Curtis Chapmnan says, "I can see the fingerprints of God"
Tonight, i cried literal buckets of tears. After a day when i seemed to have messed up so badly, it was good to let the tears fall.
What is even better, is that they were not tears of self-pity. Many of those tears were tears of joy.
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
Exodus 14:14
Be still and know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10
"The finest steel has to go through the hottest fire." - John M. Mitchell
The winds of change are blowing this month. This is no light breeze. This is the wind storm that the sailors thought would sink the boat, so they awoke Jesus in fear. This is the wind that brings hordes of locusts in. This is the wind that brings in the smoke of the battlefield and the stench of rotting corpses. This is the wind that brings in the dust storm that strips the flesh off of your bones.
The aftermath of such a wind is not a pretty place to be.
BUT...when the wind dies down and things settle, that is when the reconstruction of life begins!
