Injustice demands an answer.
If we turn a blind eye to the sufferings of those around us, then we were better off to not have been born with eyes at all.
This sort of blindness, this apathy, robs us of our very humanity.
Sometimes, a soft word turns aside anger. Sometimes, we draw more flies with honey than with vinegar.
And sometimes, we just need to kick over some tables, grab a whip and start hitting those who do wrong and think they get away with it.
Jesus did it.
Still think we should always be a pacifist? Still think we should always turn the other cheek? Still think we should ignore the hurting lying in the ditch, or watch somebody get the stuffing beat out of them and just walk away?
Sometimes, injustice demands an answer. And sometimes, as people of God, we have to be that answer.
No more blind eyes. No more turning cheeks. Now is the time to get righteously angry. Now is the time to say "No more!"
Enough, already!
